Cooperstown Lions Club Celebrates 75 Years of Service!
On Saturday, October 4, 2025, we had an incredible day celebrating the 75th Anniversary of the Cooperstown Lions Club at the Otesaga Hotel! It was a wonderful afternoon of friendship, community spirit, and reflection on the many ways our club has served over the decades.
We were deeply honored to welcome our guest speaker, Dr. Jack Weber, who at 101 years old has been a Lion for 72 years! Dr. Weber has served as an International Director, received eight International Presidential Awards, and holds the Ambassador of Goodwill Medal—the highest honor in Lionism. His dedication and energy continue to inspire us all.
We were also joined by our friends in community service, the Cooperstown Rotary Club, whose partnership and shared commitment to helping others make our community even stronger.
Our club is proud to be involved in so many community projects, including:
SNAP Match at the Farmers’ Market
River cleanups
Scholarships for local students
Eye screenings for children
Christmas tree sales
Pancake breakfasts
…and so much more!
If you’ve ever thought about giving back or want to experience the joy of community service, we’d love for you to join us! The Cooperstown Lions Club meets at Upstate Bar & Grill on the first and third Wednesday of each month at 6:30 PM.
Please enjoy these photos from our celebration — here’s to 75 years of service, and to many more ahead!
