Volunteers are needed for the 8th Annual Susquehanna River Clean-Up! This annual event is historically put on by the Cooperstown Lions Club and Cooperstown Rotary Club. This year, OCCA is helping to organize and expand the event. You can learn more about their efforts here.

On July 12th, 2025, we’ll focus upstream from Compton Bridge in Cooperstown, but there will be multiple debris drop-off sites along the Susquehanna River from Cooperstown to Oneonta for other organizations/individuals to participate. OCCA will coordinate disposing all the debris collected.

River Clean-Up Day Volunteer Roles: 
In addition to volunteers on rafts and kayaks, we will also need a terrestial team to help unload and haul trash from the river, volunteers to help photograph the event, and volunteers who would like to help with handing out refreshments/snacks.
